Project New Start provides up to 9 months of completely FREE mental health services for eligible adults in LA County through our peer-run, community-based approach to wellness and recovery.

All services are funded by the California Community Reinvestment Grants program using cannabis tax revenue—no cost to you or insurance required.

Therapeutic Art & Support Groups
Weekly in-person sessions combining creative expression with peer support in a safe, welcoming environment.

Individual Counseling
One-on-one sessions (weekly or bi-weekly) available virtually or in-person through partner locations.

Case Management
Personalized support to help navigate resources, set goals, and build connections in your community.

Peer-Centered Approach
Our services are provided by peers with lived experience, Social Work Interns, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers who understand the journey of recovery and emphasize empowerment and self-determination.
